Field Day Concerts vs. County of Suffolk, Town of Riverhead et.al.
Certain Town of Riverhead officials were called to depositions by attorneys for the Field Day Concert this week. It seems that Riverhead is not off the hook from this lawsuit as previously stated by Supervisor Cardinale on WRIV. The Federal Judge was very critical on the actions the Town of Riverhead took at the last minute, which prevented the Concert from taking place. This case should be at trial by Spring time.
Grimes Contracting hits Town of Riverhead with Notice of Claim to Sue!
As if there was not enough problems with the Landfill now The Town of Riverhead has been served with a 5 million dollar Notice of Claim from Grimes Contracting for monies owed from the landfill project. Grimes was contracted by the Town to perform the reclamation and even know the Town has stopped it the obligation to pay Grimes is still there.
